Any tips on how to losen up the hammer on a musket.

If by that you mean your main spring is too stiff, then nothing. You are better off with a stiff spring anyway, as you will probably get a better spark.

Have you tryed to pull the main spring down on my musket its more then a bit stiff,its like a bear trap is how dave describes it.It does do a good spark.O'well I'll just keep working it then.

The lock in your musket is just fine .
It will just take some getting use to .
Besides it's brand new , once you work it in it will be alot easier to release from half cock .
