Hey Gents and lady (Mrs.Winger) I've just finished a book called "Myths of the war of 1812" and it was really good reading. It was written by the same guy(an american) who wrote the book "The war of 1812,a forgotten conflict" I believe his name is Ronald (or Donald) Hickey, however I don't have the book in front of me to confirm his name. It's available at Chapters/Indigo. Happy reading.
Steve
p.s. It answers the age old question "who won the war of 1812" but I won't give away the ending

I definitely agree Steve,
Very good book - Don't Give Up the Ship - Myths of the War of 1812 (Donald Hickey).
Would make a great Christmas gift for any 1812 reenactor!
Cheers!
