Bill maybe you could help on this one!

What was the lenght of copper pipe you use for your Powder mesure? Also what is the best paper to use and what is the proper patern for the cartriges.

I just got a musket so I want to have everything ready for my first outing upon my return form over seas.

Keith.

PS. Yes the musket was the one that Dave had sent out the e-mail about. Beth picked it up for me for Christmas. It was a wonderful suprise.

Hey Keith

The measure I use is a 17/8" long piece of copper tubing. It works out to about 118 grains of FF powder. Although you don''t need to fill it to the top if you want to save powder.

I'll put up a picture of the cartridge paper shortly. I just use copy paper, because I like it's rigidity. Some guys use lighter paper that's almost like tissue paper.

Are you able to make it to any drills before you leave Keith?
When are you leaving?
If it's not until after Feb. than are you able to make it to Ogdensburg with us?

Chris

Hey Guys:

I'm currently in California at Ft Irwin on our confimation exercise. I'll be here till the end of February with a departure to Afghanistan sometime in April.

Chris what are the dates for Ogdensburg?

I must say for being a desert we have gotten quite a bit of rain lately. At least it's not -30.
