Pimp My Kit

Ok I was thinking... back in the day most glens probably looked like Gypsy wagons with stuff everywhere. How can we accessorize our kit so it looks a little more authentic then just one blanket and a half full pack? Off the top of my head I am thinking rope/cutting tools/kettle.... does anybody know...

And to think that the Reg force Canadian Soldier today makes 50K per year as a first year corporal (4 years in the army) things have changed.

Any clue what that converts over to in todays currency? That doesn't sound like allot but I guess you wouldn't have very much to spend your money on if your living expenses were covered by the crown. I love how they give with one hand and then take away with the other. ouch.

haha no im good thanks, it was more out of curiosity then anything. I guess its like all things in life that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Im too busy throwing money away on my POS VW to worry about finding anything else.

Does anybody have any experience with the manufactured flints? What I am talking about are the artificial ones.
